We hear much in the media that uses the word "matter". Discuss your meaning in a specific context, i.e., what matters to you and why. This description is deliberately broad so as to accommodate all possible meanings in all possible contexts.
The essay needs to: include introduction and conclusion paragraphs, body paragraphs that each discuss one idea, and demonstrate correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, and sentence structure. The extra credit is worth from one to five points depending on the above criteria.
