Psychology for Life
One of the things that makes Psych. 101 such a unique course is that the material is practical. Everything we have discussed this semester can and should be used to improve your life.
For example, we have discussed the risks of using psychoactive substances;
the importance of sleep;
how we learn best and how this relates to study strategies;
how memory works and strategies for improving memory;
what motivates us and where our emotions come from; how we develop, socially, cognitively, and physically;
strategies for raising children and parenting skills;
factors that shape our personalities; how we build intimate relationships with others; keys to successful partnerships/marriages;
how to deal with stress and the importance of our physical health in relation to our psychological well-being;
how to meditate and how it can improve cognitive functioning and psychological well-being; identifying psychological problems, destigmatizing them, and how best to treat them;
how to prevent mental health problems;
and many more.These are all very important life lessons and if you use them, they could drastically improve your life.
Directions:Thoroughly explainfive concepts from these ;
why each concept is important to you and your life; and how you can apply it in your currently daily life or the future.
You should be very specific and provide a lot of detail. The paper should be at least 3 pages long.
