We have been considering the topic of happiness as a focus for ethical inquiry. Write a 2 page paper that describes the image of happiness, or the "ultimate good" that you aim at in your life. In the body of the paper, discuss one component of happiness from the empirical studies covered so far (e.g., Nancy Etcoff/Swarthmore magazine), and name one component related to the normative or achievement-oriented studies (e.g., Aristole, Wadell or Kant) that you believe important to your happiness or ultimate good. Finally, raise a question for further inquiry. What would like to learn about more regard human happiness?
