Water vapour enters an adiabatic turbine at a flow rate of 820 L/s. The turbine expands the water from 10 MPa and 600oC to 8 kPa and a quality of 0.9. Kinetic energy and potential energy effects can be ignored.

Do the following:

a) Calculate the turbine’s power output in MW.

 

b) Calculate the turbine’s isentropic efficiency.
