Water flow in a pipe can be represented by the reynolds

Water flow in a pipe can be represented by the Reynolds number Re which is dimensionless.

The Reynolds number is determined by the equation Re= (w Vw Dp ) / ?w where:

w = water density = 1.94 slug/ft3

Vw = water velocity = 156 km/s

Dp = pipe diameter = 8.5 in

?w = water viscosity = 4x10-4 kg/m-s

Part A: Do a dimension check to show that Re is dimensionless (i.e. use M, L, t, etc.)

Part B: Determine the value of Re using the values given above
