Notes on Content:

The focus of this paper is on your thesis and structure is your paper about a clear, focused topic that discusses an aspect or aspects of the production as it represents or tells the audience about Asia? Does the structure/content of the paper clearly relate back to that thesis? Do you use specific details from the production to support your ideas? Work to have an interesting and compelling introduction and conclusion. We will work on these in class on Wednesday 11/5.

I am most interested in your own ideas!!! You might find outside research interesting and/or helpful but do not just restate the ideas of others about the play.

Work to write a well-structured narrative, not just a string of events, with a beginning, middle, and end. Think of the details from the prints as evidence supporting what the prints are communicating. A possible structure for your paper might look like this:

Paragraph One:

Introduction draw the reader in to your particular ideas! This paragraph should end with a clear thesis statement.

Paragraph Two through Ten (however many you need)

Explore specific elements of the production Remember to have a clear focus indicated by the topic sentence for each paragraph. Think about the order of these paragraphs when you are done, go back and see if they are in the best order. Remember your ideas and the production is most important!!!

Final Paragraph:

Conclusion. How do you tie everything together????

This structure is not the only way but I provide it as a guide in order to assist you with your writing process. Feel free to deviate, to be creative, and find your own way. Good writing takes risks!!!
