An example of a monopoly is Waste Management. Waste Management is the nations garbage collection. Waste Management is considered a "natural monopoly." Waste Management has majority of the landfills large collections in the nation. I believe it is considered a monopoly because it isn't that easy for other companies to establish a landfill with the proper regulations with a lot of customers. Waste Management also converts trash to energy. This can only be done by the number of customers they have.
Waste Management has been accused in violation of the Sherman and Clayton Act. Why do you think WM has been so successful in defending itself against the Sherman act?
