It is 2016. Harper has been found guilty of mischief. The evidence used to convict Harper came from two sources. Harper's ISP gave Harper's name and address to the police under PIPEDA because Harper's account was the account associated with the IP address from which denial of service attack was launched. The police used that information to obtain a warrant to search Harper's house and devices. On one of the devices, they found clear evidence that Harper was behind the attack. The attack caused multiple online business to shut down for a six hour period. Was the search reasonable? Explain your answer with reference to case law discussed in class.
