War declaration against germany

Philosophical views:

President Woodrow Wilson, in his “War Declaration against Germany” and the “Fourteen Points” speech statements, outlined a peace vision for world politics. On the other hand, Machiavelli, in The Prince, had provided a war and more selfish based analysis of international politics. In this essay, briefly explain, first, the competing views of these two men. Then, make an argument (or take a position) on which of these two philosophical views (Wilson vs. Machiavelli) makes better sense about world affairs. In other words, if you were the leader of a country, which direction-Wilsonian or Machiavellian-would you take to make foreign policy decisions? Make sure to justify and explain your position. Be sure to have a clear thesis statement in the beginning of your essay. You M cite relevant passages and quotes from these texts in order to support your arguments.
