You will create or design a final course project based on at least three readings/resources that you seek out on your own (beyond the ones that are presented in class) which encompasses one of the major issues we discuss in class (e.g., digital footprints, Internet safety, sex education, cyberbullying, Internet addiction/dependency, participatory media, social networking, Internet filtering, censorship, chatrooms, online dating, pornography, online games, online violence, virtual worlds, Second Life, a particular online technology tool or site, and so on…). Choose an issue or topic that holds personal relevance or interest for you.
Projects can be submitted as:
a. An opinion paper designed for a magazine or a newspaper or an opinion blog post that includes text and multimedia (2-3 pages or equivalent, single spaced, 12-point Times New Roman font, standard 1-inch page margins, page limit does not include reference pages, no need for a title page). If you decide to work on a blog post, use Medium Tumblr, Uthink, Blogger, or WordPress and you must include pictures and/or videos as well as text to support your topic.

b. A multi-page website (i.e. it includes more than 4 separate web pages) or a single webpage (think landing pages) you create with multimedia designed to raise awareness on an issue or technology (you might use Weebly, Google sites, WordPress, or a similar tool). Include a “Resources” section/page with your references.
c. A video or digital story you create explaining, investigating, or showcasing an issue or technology tool.

Why do you want to explore that?
Who is going to be your audience (Who are you designing/writing this for? Who might benefit from your piece?)
Which medium are you going to use, and why? (a Word doc? Blog post? Website?)
