Vertical Gradient:
Vertical gradient can be of three types:
Ruling Gradient
Used as a matter of course.
Limiting Gradient
Used in situations where site conditions are not favourable and adoption of ruling gradients increases the cost enormously.
Exceptional Gradient
Used only in very exceptional situations and for short lengths.
