Prediction Question:

1. Referring to Figure I. Imagine a light ray is aimed directly along the normal line. Use Equation (3) to describe what happens to the light upon entering and leaving the dish. Include a sketch.

2. Referring to Figure 1. Imagine a light ray is in medium 2 (the bottom medium) and is aimed up directly along the ray that is now in medium 2. Use Equation (3) to describe what happens to the light upon leaving the dish. Include a sketch.

Analysis Questions

1. If we replaced the water dish with a solid glass disk of the same shape, explain how your data would be different. Describe this in terms of the lines you drew on the paper and the slope of the graph.
