Why shouldn't the federal government throw down the gauntlet to solve problems?
It is fascinating the simplicity being used by Challenge.gov to solve complicated and critical questions and problems that federal agencies face. By issuing a challenge to the general public, you increase the number of solutions exponentially without having to pay for many workers who might be able to solve the problem. This has the added benefit of identifying possible creative thinkers and innovators who may not have thought of themselves as possible problem solvers. Inventors, like Tesla and Edison, worked mostly by themselves in order to produce inventions they could patent but the common theme that they shared was problem solving for the masses. Utilizing social media, monetary gain, and possible fame is a genius way of solving problems for a federal organization or division. Challenge.gov by itself is a bold and innovative way to solve the problems of the government.
