Consider a family of logic gates that operates under thestatic discipline with the following voltage thresholds:VOL=0.5v, VIL=1.6v, VOH=4.4v, andVIH=3.2v
a) Graph an input-output voltage transfer function of aninverter satisfying the four voltage thresholds.

b) Using the switch-resistor MOSFET model, design an invertersatisfying the static discipline for the four voltagethresholds using an n-channel MOSFET with RN=1KΩand VT=1.8v. Recall, RON=RN(L/W).Assume VS=5v and Rsquare for a resistor is500Ω. Further assume that the area of the inverter is given bythe sum of the areas of the MOSFET and the resistor. Assumethat the area of a device is L x W. The inverter should takeas a little area as possible with minimum size for L or Wbeing 0.5μm. Graph the input-output transfer function fo the inverter. What is the total area of theinverter? What is its static power dissipation?
