Case Study: MP Urban Ecology
Five years ago you moved to an up-and-coming area in your city. When you moved there, the neighborhoods were surrounded by vast wooded areas. Recently, you've noticed that the wooded areas are being removed to make way for new housing. Many animals are getting hit by cars or found roaming around the neighborhoods in search of food. You've decided to create an Urban Ecology Program in your city and ask the city government to protect the remaining forest areas.
Using the library or the Internet, thoroughly research established urban ecology programs in the United States. Create a mission statement that outlines your proposal to preserve the natural habitat around your area.
