One force on the particle is the gravitational force acting in the negative y direction. Using the equation (W = FΔr cos θ = F ·Δr) calculate the work done by the gravitational force in going from o to C along the following paths.

a. The purple path (OAC)

How much work is done by the gravitational force while the particle moves from O to C? How much work does it while the particle moves from A to C?

b. The red path (OBC)

You are correct the work done for this path should be the same as the work done along the path from part 1.
