Using Mergent online, please download into Excel annual income statements and balance sheets for the following major U.S. airlines for the past three fiscal years: American (AAL), Delta (DAL), United (UAL), Southwest (LUV), and JetBlue (JBLU). Organize these so that they are collated in one workbook and so that there is one tab for each statement for each airline (labeled AAL_IS, AAL_BS, DAL_IS, and so on).
Please answer the following questions in Excel:
1) Create a new worksheet in this workbook, and in that tab calculate and present the following ratios for each of the airlines for each year:
a. Current ratio
b. Total debt ratio
c. Profit margin
d. Times interest earned
e. Total asset turnover
f. Equity multiplier
g. Return on assets
h. Return on equity
2) Calculate averages and medians for each of these ratios for every year.
