Using a single two-node bar element calculate the

Solve Problem using the secant method. Do not use the incremental force method. Discuss about the convergence rate.

Problem :-

Consider a uniform bar with a constant Young's modulus, E = 100 MPa; cross-sectional area, A = 2 10-4 m2; and a unit length, L = 1 m. The applied force F = 10 kN is large enough such that the relation between displacement and strain is nonlinear:

Using a single two-node bar element, calculate the displacement at the tip and strain of the element. Use an increment force method with 10 equal force increments.
