Part 1 - Establish & maintain an OHS system

You must:

For the following assignment you are to research the WHS systems that are in place at your organisation. You can use any documentation found in your workplace to help create your portfolio of work.

a. Prepare a portfolio from your workplace, which incorporates a written work health and safety system for an organisation, including:

-policies and procedures
-information fact sheets for workers
-job descriptions incorporating work health and safety roles
-training plans
-consultation strategy

b. Using a current workplace evaluate the Organisation's health, safety & security systems. Please ensure that you include compliance with relevant WHS legislation, staff feedback, and relevant workplace reports & forms and staff consultation process.

c. Complete or source a hazard identification and risk assessment template document. Complete the matrix for at least 3 risks and Hazards in your workplace

d. What improvements would you recommend need to be implemented following your evaluation of the Organisation's systems.

Part 2 - Implement & monitor workplace health, safety & security practices

a. Explain why it is necessary to implement Workplace health and safety plans for your restaurant (refer specifically to the WHS Act 2012).

b. Explain how you will monitor safe work practices in the workplace

c. Discuss how you will Coordinate consultative arrangements for the management of health, safety and security in the workplace

d. Discuss how you will implement and monitor procedures for identifying hazards and controlling risks from part 2(c)risk and hazard matrix

e. Implement a health, safety & security training strategy for your workplace (please ensure that you consider all staff, you can use the action plan located on the portal for this question).

f. Write both a Workplace policy & a step-by step procedure for the restaurant regarding reporting workplace accidents & injuries.

-Provide examples of relevant WHS records that will need to be established & monitored within the restaurant.

-Create a workplace template register for recording injuries and illnesses at your restaurant.

-Create a template for use in the restaurant to document & resolve health, safety & security concerns from relevant stakeholders.
