Urine is natural, easily available, harmless, beneficial compound, which offers protection against a number of diseases. Now a day's urine after distillation from the indigenous cattle is being used for preparation of some important medicines. Cow urine contains some important minerals (about 24) which are beneficial for plants and human. Soaking the feet in urine particularly by athletes helps in rectification of minor ailments. Application of fresh urine seems to have some helpful effect on teen age pimple eruptions. Urine helps in reducing the pain due to insect stings bite. Cow urine can be used for treatment of stones (gall and kidney), liver problems, constipation, piles, water retention, renal disorders, gas, obesity, chronic cold, cardiac problems, arthritis, and high cholesterol and so on. It may also serve as support of anti-cancer treatment, because of its ability to bind free radicals. Use of cattle urine as insecticide is well documented. Ten liters of indigenous cow urine and 1 kg of neem leaves taken in copper vessel and kept airtight for 15 days. Further, 15 gram garlic (Allium sativum) is added and boiled to make it half. One liter of this extract diluted in 100 liter water is used as insecticide. Sometime, neem can be replaced with aak (Calotropis gigantea) and Bhel (Aegel marmelos).

Therefore, livestock waste handling warrants its integration with the farm management practices to make the farm further economically viable, environmental friendly and socially acceptable.
