Uses of Dihydric alcohols
(a) Dihydric alcohols are used as antifreeze in car radiators.
(b) Dihydric alcohols is used in the manufacture of dacron, dioxane etc.
(c) Dihydric alcohols are used as a solvent and as a preservatives.
(d) Dihydric alcohols are used as a cooling agent in aeroplanes.
(e) Dihydric alcohols are used as explosives in the form of dinitrate.
