User-centered design is a structured product development methodology. Usability means a product is easy to learn and use. To determine if the product is easy to use, we need feedback from users. There are a number of techniques that are available, including usability testing.

The basic question is, who are the users of our product. Interviews and profiling can help us understand our users. Personas are fictional individuals who represent a group of users. Personas describe the users and what the users wish to do.
