Select one of the following performance enhancers discussed in the text: caffeine, alcohol, anabolic steroids, androstenedione, human growth hormone, dehydroepiandrosterone, or amphetamines. Analyze the use and claims of the chemical or hormone and the potential side effects and dangers from its use.
