An airplane wing with a tip tank is modeled as a uniform cantilever beam (El = constant, pA = constant) with a lumped mass M attached at the axis of the beam at x = L (Fig. PI2.6). Use Hamilton's Principle to derive the differential equation of motion and the boundary conditions for transverse vibration of the wing (beam).
