Use figs 252 and 253 to calculate w and eff for a

Question: (a) Use Figs. 2.5.2 and 2.5.3 to calculate W, λ, and eff for a characteristic impedance of 50 Ω using RT/Duroid® with εr = 2.23 and h = 0.7874 mm.

(b) Use (2.5.8) through (2.5.11) to show that for RT/Duroid® with er = 2.23 and h = 0.7874 mm, a 50-Ω characteristic impedance is obtained with W/h = 3.073. Also, eff = 1.91 and λ = 0.7236λ0.

(c) The 10-nH inductor shown in Fig. P2.17 is to be implemented at 1 GHz using an open-circuited microstrip line with Z0 = 50 Ω. The microstrip material has er = 6 and h = 25 mils. Determine the width and length of the microstrip line.
