Graphic Novels:
1-Based on your understanding of the graphic novels we read and discussed in this unit, how do the visual images affect your interpretation of the plot and characters? Write a brief explanation of your critique. When writing your answer, you must cite from each of the graphic novels using MLA format (see RW). 2-Life, Death & Dying
Consider your interpretation of Violator Union, “The Story of an Hour” and “Nada.” How is death and dying perceived by the protagonist? How are life and death protrayed? What does death / dying symbolize? When writing your answer, you must cite from each of the stories using MLA format (see RW).
3-Topic: Forgiveness and Shame
Based on your understanding of “Sonny’s Blues,” Persepolis, “Thank You, Ma’am” and “A&P” what is an appropriate theme that focuses on forgiveness and shame? Write a brief explanation of your interpretation. When writing your answer, you must cite from each of the stories using MLA format (see RW). 4-Personal Transformation
