Review several of your classmates' posts. Please approach these with respect and an open mind. Respect everyone's perspectives and focus on the topic with empathy and understanding. Provide a substantive response to at least two of your peers in a minimum of 300 words (each reply), by Day 7 (Monday). Based on your understanding of the reading, add important information to the conversation. Consider the following questions: Are there additional things important to discuss about this content? How does this content support your understanding of human development? When comparing Piaget and Vygotsky, you can really see two different perspectives on how memory develops. Piaget views memory as something that develops alongside cognitive stages and is largely driven by biological maturation and individual interaction with the environment. In contrast, Vygotsky emphasizes the social side of development, arguing that memory is shaped through interactions with others and the use of cultural tools like language (Shriner & Shriner, 2025, Section 5.1, para. 2). Piaget conceptualizes memory as something that becomes more organized and logical over time. He believed that children actively construct their understanding of the world, so memory is not just storing information; it's reconstructing it based on their current level of thinking. That means as children grow, their memories of the same event can actually change and become more accurate or logical. Need Assignment Help?
