The understanding of human development can't be confined just to children and young adults. With the aging of the baby boomers (those born between 1946 and 1964), there has been a rising interest in understanding older adults (those who are 65 years of age and older). The challenge for many is removing the stereotype (common conceptions regarding a specific group) and establishing the facts regarding older adults.
