Understand the politics of racial threats in america

Assignment task:

To understand the politics of racial threats in America, we need more than just a racial conversation. When we realize that our cultural differences have the power to undo decades of racism, dehumanization, and illness, we can better get along with people of different races. In the speech, the mother talked about how some people might think they were acting inappropriately just because they were black. Not every parent has to be concerned about their kids being mistreated just for breathing because of the color of their skin. I used to be in that situation in class when all students took a turn testing our sample with the special machine. Other white people spent so much time testing their samples that, until my turn, the class time were over. I was in the lab for only a couple of minutes and tried to finish as soon as possible, but I still got criticism from the professor because I took all the time in the lab from other students. At that time, I felt angry, unfair, and sad, which I explained to the professor as nonsense. Because I am not white, I had no choice but to accept this resignedly. The takeaway from this is that we must be able to pray, think about, process, be ready, and confront when it comes to racial relations.

Our brains go into lockdown when we feel threatened based on race, and we dehumanize persons of color. Imagine how many kids would be able to leave school without being suspended or shot if we could lessen the hazard within those 60 seconds. The capacity to read, reframe, and end an uncomfortable interaction involving race is referred to as racial literacy.
