First, view the presentation titled Quantitative Research Questions and read the Module background information. Then, please discuss in 2 to 3 pages (not including the cover sheet and bibliography) the following items:

1. Develop four research questions that reflect education and/or training topics of interest to you. Three of these questions must be quantitative research questions, and one a qualitative research question.

Your quantitative research questions must each represent one of the following: descriptive research question, relational research question, and causal research question.

2. Identify attributes or variables included in each research question. Be sure to designate the type of variable identified, for example: independent variable (IV), dependent variable (DV), and/or covariate (CoV).

3. Describe the type of data that will be measured for each variable. Please designate whether the data is categorical (i.e., nominal or ordinal data) or continuous (i.e., interval or ratio data).

Your task for the Module assignment is twofold:

First, read Scenario 1: Culturally relevant teaching: A case study on teaching statistics in the high school setting. Then use your completed matrix to complete the second requirement:

Second, write a 3 to 4 page narrative essay in which you identify key features in Scenario 1. You will answer the following questions:

1. What type of research is used in the study?
2. What is the research problem? Indicate examples in the study that contribute to the research problem.
3. What type of research questions are presented?
4. What are the research questions?
5. What type of variables are used in the study and what are the variables?
6. List 3 authors and the role they played in the literature review.
7. What is the sample population?
8. What method of data collection was used?
9. How was data analysis accomplished?
10. What were the findings of the study?

Please be sure to include an introductory paragraph within your essay that states the purpose of the Module assignment and informs the reader of the ideas to be discussed.

Also, please follow the APA format and style requirements, and include an APA formatted reference list.

Remember, in Module you will combine all prior SLP module assignments and the new Module assignment, as well as an overall introduction, conclusion and bibliography, into one final document.
