Two three-phase loads are y-connected across a 300 Volt three phase line. One load draws 10kW at a p.f. of 0.9 leading, and the second load draws 8kW at a p.f. of 0.6 lagging.

V(line-neutral)=300V/sqrt(3)=173.21V

Find the line current and the power factor of the combined loads. Calculate the size of the capacitor needed to provide overall unity power factor for the system.
