Two of the major research approaches used in personality psychology are (1) the Case Study approach and (2) the Experimental approach. Choose one concept from this section of the course (a trait, cognition, or motive). Then, using your chosen concept, describe (1) how you would conduct a case study on a person to investigate this concept and (2) how you would conduct an experiment to study this concept. Finally, describe an advantage and disadvantage of each approach.
