Two level drama-reading the gospels

What do you mean by two-level drama?

What does the two-level drama propose about how we should read the gospels in our churches nowadays?

Two level dramas is this: The manner that Jesus led his life throughout the history in which a gospel is being told, and the allegorical meaning of the gospel itself.

Reading Bible as literature has lead scholars to ask: Are the ideas expressed in a specific book or gospel based solely on the time in which it was written, and by whom? As well, what is the main lesson of the gospel in today's time, and how does the consequence of the two change the meaning of the allegorical nature of the passage.
