Trying to come up with a suitable topic for my sr. research project. The topic must somehow tie in with African-American slavery in the US. The paper has to be 15 pages long, and requires a minimum of 8 scholarly sources be used.
My idea was to write a paper discussing whether or not "Uncle Tom's Cabin" actually had such influence on the country as to warrant the comment attributed to Pres. Lincoln when he met the Harriet Beecher Stowe in the White House in 1862 that "So you are the little lady who has caused this great war"
Problem is I have not been able to come up with enough sources relating to this. So any other ideas, I need to come up with a proposal and partial list of sources by Mar. 1st.
