I am taking a class at Liberty University entitled 'Empirically Supported Treatments for Trauma and Christian Worldview Analysis.'
The first assignment requires me to write a two-page reflection paper addressing what I already know about trauma-informed approaches to therapy and how my current knowledge -together with the week's readings- fit with my worldview.
The topic we are studying primarily relates to PTSD and the application of EMDR, which is entirely new to me and something I find fascinating and hope to learn more about.
With these thoughts in mind, I need to answer two questions. 1) what specific tenets of trauma-informed treatments are related to my conceptualization of trauma and trauma treatment and my worldview as I approach the course and 2), what Christian worldview integration research, Christian accommodative therapies, or scholarly perspectives from biblical or Christian counselling experts are to be considered in work regarding trauma and treatment of trauma; with references from within the last 5 years, please?
