Transnational feminist theorists discuss the importance of feminist research on women of color, because often they are considered victims by white feminism. Mohanty challenges this victim view of women from the Global South and Kempadoo utilizes this understanding of poor women from the South to discuss the global sex trade. How does race affect the global sex trade? How does gender affect the global sex trade? How does class affect the global sex trade? How do we see all of these links played out here in the Miami sex trade?
