Torque exerted by the entire flagpole

A flagpole consists of two parts. The first part is the rod, which has a mass of 20 kg and a length of 5 m. The second part is a solid ball at one end, which has a mass of 0.5 kg. The flagpole comes out of the side of the building at an angle of 30 degrees from the horizontal. Assume that the solid ball is on the end of the rod opposite the building.

A) What is the magnitude of the torque exerted by the entire flagpole at the point of contact with the building?

B) If a cat jumps on the flagpole and walks out 43 meters along the length of the flagpole from the building, the magnitude of the torque increased by 25% over your answer in (A). What s the mass of the cat?
