Unemployment is an international problem that different countries and government have sought to tackle, the US not left behind.
Unemployment rate = (number of unemployed persons)/(labor force)
Where, Labor force = number of unemployed persons + number of employed persons

1. What is the current average rate of unemployment?
2. At what legally allowed age is the number of unemployed person highest.
3. What is the mean rate of unemployment in the different states and in which state is the mean highest?
4. What is the trend of unemployment in the last 16 years?
5. What is the current rate of job creation nationally and in the different states?
6. What measures can be taken to enhance the war on unemployment?
The data for this study will be obtained from the online database of the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) which is a unit of the United States Department of Labor, the World Bank online data bank and the different states labor divisions like The Labor Market Information Division of the California state.
