Tools and techniques used for quality assurance
All the tools used for quality planning and quality control are used for quality assurance as well. In addition to these tools the other tools used for quality assurance are:
- Quality audits: A quality audit is a structured review of quality management activities. The aim of quality audits is to identify lessons learned that can increase the performance of the project or of other projects within the organisation. Quality audits may happen at random or as per assigned schedule. It may be carried out by third parties such as quality system registration agencies or by properly trained in-house auditors.
- Process analysis: follows the steps outlined in the process improvement plan to identify necessary improvement .This analysis also examines problems experienced, constraints faced, and non-value- added activities identified during process operation. Process analysis includes root cause analysis, it is a specific technique to identify a problem, discover the underlying causes that lead to it, and develop preventive actions.
