Problem: One of the points made in the film we watched "The Trap 92007, Adam Curtis)" was that game theorists found that self-interest was the most rational choice for the individual to make. Do you think that this view can hold up when we consider the case that human beings could not have developed civilization without a fundamental desire/need/interest in cooperation. In other words, to what extent do you think that our cooperation is a function of or motivated by our own self-interest?
