The software is being custom designed in order to meet all of the organisations requirements. You have been tasked with ensuring that all of the application controls required to guarantee the accuracy, completeness and security of the input, processing and output of the data are correctly configured.
To ensure control over the application prepare a 1,200 word business report for the project team that covers the following:
- Why should application controls be incorporated into the system design?

You have been hired by manufacturing organisation Lightning Bolt to review their logistics department. The organisation is looking to improve efficiencies in this area. Before being able to make any recommendations, you must first understand the current process being undertaken. A transcript of your interview with the logistics manager is posted in Resources. Using the details from your discussion with the logistics manager and an applicable system tool, create a level 0 data flow diagram to document the existing system from sales office to customer.
A system tool includes software such as Word, Excel, Smartdraw or Edraw. There are many tools that are available to trial for free on the internet.
