Title: Research about Marijuana
This Works Cited Page should have five sources you have read on your research topic. At least one should be scholarly sources. (You can see a picture by the entry in Academic Search Premier "Academic Journal" One should be a book. The other three can be credible sources of your choice. I'll give one point for the proper form in works cited entry, and one point for your annotation.
1. Give the MLA works cited entry for this source, single spaced. When finished, indent your entry in Word: go to Format, then Paragraph, then Special, and scroll to select Hanging. (Use the Academic Search Premier entry, or go to Easybib MLA and enter the source type (book, journal article, etc.)

3. Summarize the source in one or two sentences, and give one or two sentences about how the source will support your thesis. (It may also provide background, give common ground, or give voice to the other side of the issue). It is best to use all your own words for these entries. However, if you choose to use any phrases from an abstract or description on the database, etc. be sure to put these words in quotation marks.
Below is one sample entry. You will have five. Alphabetize them by last name of author. (When no author, title will come first, and use that.)

Booker reports on the results of a joint research program on the environmental health effects of spraying Agent Orange and other herbicides during the Vietnam War. The effects of Agent Orange exposure among the Vietnamese are assessed. The author is not biased, but reports data that support the horrible results of Agent Orange use including number and type of injury. This article is written for people with little prior knowledge of the subject and is easy to read and understand. It will help me to give some support and statistics on the problem of Agent Orange and supports my thesis that the government is not doing enough to help the Vietnamese people who suffered because of its use.
