Timeline of major life events

Javed Iqbal:

This project will comprise two parts: (1) a profile and timeline and (2) a theoretical analysis. You must conduct a search of the resources available on that particular serial killer including books, journal articles, websites, FBI investigations, videos, documentaries, etc.  You do not have to review all of the sources, but a complete bibliography section is required.  Each piece of information must be verified by at least two different sources in order to confirm its accuracy. Feel free to use some documents as primary sources, where they may provide a significant portion of the required information. Wikipedia is NOT considered a primary source and therefore must not be cited in your references. However, Wikipedia entries can be helpful if you use the original sources cited in the references section at the end of the entry. Also, regardless of the source, do not cut-and-paste the content (this is a form of plagiarism); you must write the entries in your own words (i.e., paraphrase). Your document will be analyzed using Turnitin in order to identify plagiarized work.

The timeline and profile of your serial killer must include the following information:

• Serial killer’s name and nickname (if any)

• Photo of serial killer

• Timeline of major life events (e.g., birth, family or personal moves, deaths in the family, arrests, prosecution, death), including killings (note the name, gender, race, and age of victim, location of killing, and type of target)

• General information (e.g., socio-demographics, locations of killings, type of killer)

• Childhood information

• Education and cognitive abilities or deficits

• School problems

• Work history

• Relationships

• Triad

• Killer psychological information

• Killer criminal history (prior to series)

• Details of serial killing and victims

• References

Each entry of the timeline should provide a brief, but detailed description of the event. This information will prove useful later on for your narrative account that will be part of your theoretical analysis. The profile information will typically involve a one word or single phrase description. Each entry must have at least two citations where you use numbered footnotes.  Your reference section must be numbered sequentially (e.g., 1, 2, 3, etc.) and each reference must match the particular numbered footnote in your entries.

Paper should be 1-2 pages and also fill in timeline.
