Tim purchased a guitar from String Company. Tim gave the guitar company a check for $400, the price of the guitar. Strings negotiates the check to Guitar Center, who takes the check in good faith, for value and without notice of a claim or defense. Tim later discovers that Strings delivered the wrong guitar to him and refuses to honor the check. In a conflict between Tim and Guitar Center, who wins? Why?
