Food Pyramid and Classifications

This part of the project will examine the Food Pyramid along with meal servings based from myplate. This assignment is for you to evaluate your data from DH1 comparing it to the provided food pyramid and myplate. You are to use your dietary intake recorded in DH1. Each food item is to be classified ie.: protein, carbohydrate, fat, vegetable, fruit. Each meal eaten each day is to be classified with myplate. If you are not a meal eater then you are to still place items consumed into myplate based on the traditional breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Make observations about any deficiencies, food patterns, and indulgences.

This is to be 3.5 pages or longer. You may set up each day as a page completing the pyramid and myplate

For example day 1 (or course you will have a list)

Breakfast:

1/2C oatmeal ( 150cal)
1T whole milk (20cal)
1/2C blueberries (40cal)
16oz black coffee

(no this is not what I eat for breakfast...I blend my breakfast of flax seeds, blueberries, kale, and pea protein ( I use a nutri-bullet)

Take the entire days' worth of food and apply it to the pyramid.

You may do this electronically, create a chart, or perhaps label all foods on your DH1...that is up to you how you want to display DH2.
Then take individual meals and apply them to the myplate.

Again how you present this is up to you.

Don't forget to make observations about any deficiencies, patterns, indulgences.
