Case Study #2:  Lever. Ltd.

Your assignment is to answer the 3 questions at the end of this Case Study -- which is posted on a separate link.

Also be sure to check out the 3rd separate link that contains the Grading Rubric, to see how your grade on this paper will be computed.

This is a "real world" case study.  It was written by the Marketing Director of Lipton Canada who I met at a Unilver Conference.  While the data in this case is old (it must be, so it does not reveal current Unilever Marketing plans), it is real! This live data was collected by the author about 25 years ago.  Who knows, the realities of this case are still probably present in Canada today.  But in any case, the situation is real, and it should teach you several important lessons about Marketing.  Give it some serious thought.

Hint:  Do not get overly concerned about Canadian geography and its provinces. Just note that the provinces have different levels of Guard development, as well as different levels of consumer preference for Guard and other brands/types of deodorants.

Format Directions

1.  Papers will probably be about one to two pages in length. Longer papers are not needed.

2.  Number each paragraph of your answer to match each of the 3 questions you will be answering.

3.  Type your paper using 12 point size type

4.  Excellent, clear writing is required. Re-write your paper several times. Then show it to a friend and ask the friend "What do you think of this paper? Does it make sense to you?" Then, use the friend's comments to re-write the paper one more time.

These are what my professor said.

Please answer the 3 questions that my professor marked at the bottom in the PDF file.
