This is a new generation of resistor having very low temperature coefficient of resistance. A metal foil made from a special alloy is bonded on to a flat ceramic substrate. The temperature coefficient of linear expansion of the foil and the substrate is matched in such a manner that temperature coefficient of resistance is nearly zero. Thus these resistors are used ultra high precision types with extremely good stability characteristics. They are used in ultra high precision equipments.
