This is a most familiar form of medium term financing in obtaining plant and vehicles, machinery etc. In hire purchase transactions, the purchaser of goods will obtain the possession of goods upon payment of initial deposit, although the title to the goods will merely be passed on from seller to the purchaser once the payment of the remaining installments.
