This assignment provides you with an opportunity to visually examine how to establish validity in assessments for online learning.

Step 1: Research techniques used to establish validity. 

When the validity of an assessment is examined, we usually ask the question "Does the assessment measure was it was designed to measure?" If it does, then we would tend to say that it is a valid assessment. Because we often use data from assessments to make instructional decisions, revisions to training, or as a measure of what a student/employee has learned, it is important to have a basic understanding of the role validity plays in assessment. If placed in a situation where you are ask to create an assessment, you will want to make sure that what you create is valid.

Based on this week's readings and presentations, locate an article in the Ashford Library that includes techniques for establishing validity in assessments for online learning. Your research should address and explain the following:

• Why validity is important for online learning. 
• The types of evidence used to establish validity.
• The techniques, resources, and methods that are available to establish validity when designing. assessments for online learning.
• The additional resources or methods that are available to validate an online assessment.
• How you apply the types of evidence you listed above when assessing learners online
