2) Theory X versus Theory Y

Think of one manager you have known. He (she) could be anyone in a formal or informal management position with respect to you, such as a coach, teacher, student club or team leader, a volunteer leader at a church or volunteer group, a boss at work,or a family member. List his (her) specific behaviors and identify the assumption he or she has in terms of either Theory X or Theory Y.

3) Your self-identity

Identify your group affiliations that have some importance in your self-concept and rank the importance of each affiliation. Answer the following questions

"What did you learn about yourself.

What surprised you most?

How does your self-identity influence your experience in an organizational setting?"
